OVERVIEW |
This is a one-and-a-half day training program that is targeted towards those people who wish to become Investment Management facilitators as well as those involved in strategy development business case writing and project management. It provides a comprehensive overview of the Investment Management Standard and intensive training in the facilitation of the Problem Definition workshop and preparation of an Investment Logic Map as well as time to practice and reinforce learning. Participants will also have the opportunity to assess Investment Logic Maps using the required DTF tools and templates.
We are now scheduling our Part 1 and Part 2 courses consecutively with an optional half-day independent work session between each part.
This is an off-site activity that aims to enable:
- those who are participating in the Part 1 and Part 2 course within the one week to have time for reflection, consolidation and preparation of a desk ILM
- those who choose to undertake Part 2 at a later stage with the chance to consolidate their learning and undertake workshop practice as well as prepare a desk ILM.
All participants will be encouraged to submit their draft desk ILMs prior to embarking on the Part 2 course. The use of this half day private work session is optional and has no impact on the charging model and cost to participants.
We have taken this approach because experience over the last three years has indicated that participants planning to become facilitators want:
- More time to develop their understanding of the theory that underpins the Problem Definition workshop and the Investment Logic Map
- More time to practice" during the course
- Opportunity to develop a desk Investment Logic Map
- Encouragement and support in the first steps towards accreditation.
This course incorporates all of these aspects providing:
- Overview of the Investment Management theory
- Demonstrations and simulation exercises
- Support to develop an Investment Logic Map
Who is this training for?
This course is aimed at those people who wish to become facilitators and take the pathway to accreditation as well as strategists, policy officers, business case writers, project managers and those involved with evaluation.
